Over 400 local women celebrated International Women’s Day with inspiring speakers at a breakfast hosted by Townsville’s Soroptimist clubs.
Lunar New Year celebrations were enjoyed at Dynasty Chinese Restaurant with a banquet of food, live entertainment, fire crackers, lion dancing and loads of fun.
Mayor Jenny Hill invited guests to the launch of Festival 2018 where the program of a series of arts and culture events across the city was revealed. The festival offers a balance of artistic and cultural pursuits from local, national and international participants from April 4 to April 15.
